
ACTIVITIES
For over 80 years Glasgow Maccabi has prided itself on providing so many sports and activities for both youth and adults.
WHAT WE OFFER
The club is steeped in history and right up to the present day we have many kids and adults coming down to the club to take part in all types of activities.
The ultimate achievement for so many throughout these years has been representing Scotland in The European Maccabi Games, which take place every 4 years in different countries around Europe.

Football
Football at Glasgow Maccabi goes back many decades. The club has produced many great players and teams who have played in weekly local leagues and gone on to represent Scotland at the European Maccabi Games. We even have representatives for Scotland competing at the world Maccabi Games in Israel. The club has had huge success in both Futsal (5 a side football) and 11 a side football. Very often we take teams down to compete against other Maccabi organisations down south.
Bridge
Bridge clubs have used the Maccabi function room for many decades. The space provides a great surrounding for our bridge enthusiasts. Many weeks we see 50 + players enjoying a game. The club have produced many bridge champions throughout the years.

Badminton
Badminton in the large gym at the Maccabi complex is presently our most popular sport. We have many players coming down daily to use the facilities and enjoy a game of badminton. We even have a badminton coach to help our younger players reach their goals.
Prices: £4 for juniors and adult females
£6 for adult males
Table tennis
Table tennis takes place several times a week in our studio gym. There are a group of keen players who represent Glasgow Maccabi in the Scottish table tennis league.
Pickleball
Glasgow Maccabi now offers a weekly pickleball class.
Prices: £5 per person
European Maccabi Games
The European Maccabi games are held every four years and provide a feeling of pride and accomplishment for our participants. Representatives from Scotland have competed in sports such as football, futsal, tennis, table tennis, badminton, golf, judo, karate, swimming and much more.
In recent years the Scottish team have travel to Budapest, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris to take part in the games. Scotland proudly hosted the games in Stirling in 1999.
In our board room we proudly show many of the medals and trophies won by our participants throughout the years.
